Announcements      February 9, 2020

A: Arise, shine; for your light has come,    C: And the glory of the LORD has risen upon us.

God’s peace to all this Epiphany Season. A special welcome to all guests visiting with us today. Your presence is truly a blessing.

*Haven’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon is on February 23rd, immediately after worship. We certainly hope you are planning to join the discussion, luncheon and fun. Please sign-up on the attendance form to tell us you are coming. Visit the Parish Life bulletin board to take a tag for what you can bring to the feast.

*In your bulletin today, you will find an invitation to the Annual meeting and a list of action items that we will need to vote on at the meeting. Please be sure to read it carefully and review Haven’s Annual Report, which is available in the narthex. Be informed and be encouraged for our Annual Meeting.

*We are trying to make sure we have correct addresses for our members before we print a new directory. We also want to double check that we have correct envelope numbers for everyone. Please take the time to check the list on the table in the narthex. Help us keep our records up to date.

*Our midweek Lenten suppers and worship will begin March 4th. Please sign-up on the attendance form if you can bring soup or sandwiches for one of those simple Lenten meals. You will be contacted to set up a date for your soup or sandwiches. Thank you.

*Today, Mike Manspeaker is leading our youngster Sunday School class into the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Jamie and Jim Cannon will lead the Adult Sunday School as we continue to explore the meaning of love in the Bible. It is always a good time to dig into God’s Word.

*Haven Connectors will meet in Haven West at 11:15 today for a quarterly check-in and prayer.

*The 2019 contribution statements are available in the narthex.

*And now, a valentine and a request from Haven’s teens……

This week’s concerns and joys

*The St. Mark’s Food Bank will receive 103 cans of soup and $18 dollars thanks to your support of Haven’s Souper Bowl against Hunger last week. And we correctly predicted the Chiefs would win .

*Irene Giffin is currently at Julia Manor undergoing physical therapy to build up her strength. With Irene’s permission, her current phone number is on the mobile message board. Phone calls, cards, and prayers will be greatly appreciated.

*Best wishes to Melita Kaplan, Aaron Richards, Robert Snyder, Drew Pensis and Meghan Byers who celebrate birthdays this week.
