Announcements April 15, 2018
A: This is the day the Lord has made,           C: let us rejoice and be glad in it!

*Welcome to Music Sunday, when we highlight music, musicians and vocalists and give God thanks for the gift of music in our worship life. A special welcome to guests visiting with us today. We pray you are blessed as we worship a together.

*Haven’s Women’s Retreat is this Saturday at Shepherd Springs Retreat Center. Women who signed up to attend, please check your e-mail for a follow-up note. No e-mail access? Then see Marge Cunningham or Pastor Alessandri for a hard copy. We ask you to pray for the retreat and those who will lead and attend, that it may be a rich day of refreshment, reflection and fun for all.

*Next Sunday is the Big Brother Big Sister Bowling Event. Pastor Alessandri has posted her Sponsor sheet on the bulletin board on the SING-UP CENTRAL bulletin Board and an envelope for any sponsorship checks or cash. On behalf of the children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters, thank you.

*We were so excited about Music Sunday, we forgot to mention in the bulletin that it is our monthly Sunday to collect for Holly Place. Holly Place provides housing and care for seniors who would most likely have not other place to go, Thank you for your generosity for this ministry.

*We are collecting orders for red geraniums to adorn the sanctuary on Pentecost Sunday. Envelopes are in the lobby. The deadline for orders is April 29th.

*The Bell Choir could use help to put away bell tables and equipment. If you can help, please stay after worship. It will be greatly appreciated.

*One worship note for today —- Since it is Music Sunday, our organist, Steve Pastena has prepared a special postlude to complete our worship. We will invite you to sit back down after the benediction to receive this musical gift.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*We thank Music director & organist, Steve Pastena, Bell Choir Director, Nancy Newkirk, all the choir members and additional Haven musicians for all their efforts this Music Sunday. We are truly blessed.

*Best wishes to Sue Resh and Don Evason who celebrate birthdays this week.

A: We prepare for worship as we listen to our prelude.
