February 5, 2017

A: Arise, shine; for your light has come,
C: And the glory of the LORD has risen upon us. (Isaiah 60:1)
*God’s blessings to all this Fifth Sunday of the Epiphany season and a “welcome back” to seminarian Greg Hartman. A special welcome to any guests visiting with us today We are blessed by your presence and pray you are blessed as we worship together.

*There will be a Special Congregational Meeting TODAY immediately after worship. We will vote on a motion to provide the funding for the expansion of our storage area. The motion can be found on page12 of your bulletin. Please stay after worship for this brief meeting so that we can have the needed quorum to conduct business. Thank you.

*This Sunday is also our Souper Bowl collection to battle Hunger. Who will win in our soup pot poll — the Patriots or the Seahawks? Cast your vote with a donation in one of the soup pots our youth will be holding in the narthex as you leave worship. All proceeds will benefit our Micah’s backpack fund, which is in deep need of replenishment. Thank you for helping us feed hungry children.

*This Saturday, February 11th at 10 am you are invited to a special opportunity we’re calling “Prayer 101.” Come learn and discuss prayer and experience several different types of prayer. Please sign up to attend on the attendance sheet in your bulletin or on the bulletin board in the narthex Come feed your spirit. Friends, family and neighbors are also welcome.

*Sunday School Friends and Families are invited to Turner Bowling Lanes today at 3 pm for a Super Bowl Day specially-discounter time for bowling and snacks. Come and go as you need. All are welcome.

*This year Haven’s Annual meeting and meal will take place after worship on February 26th. We hope that will encourage more of us to stay for this wonderful time of community. So we have enough chicken, please let us know you are coming on your attendance form and then stop at the colorful, tropical bulletin board to pick out what you will bring to the feast. We hope to see you there!
This week’s concerns and joys:
*Inez Winebrenner is still recovering from a broken arm but moved to the Assisted Living part of Farhney-Keedy . He is in room 2003and she LOVES visits. Please keep Inez in your prayers.
*Last week coffee fellowship coordinator, Shaun Rollins, asked for our help to sponsor our weekly time of fellowship. Well, good news. Haven responded! ALL Sundays have now been claimed by sponsors! And with donated funds, Shaun has bought plenty of supplies to help each host and hostess. Thank you.
*Best wishes to Laura Manspeaker, Melita Kaplan, and Robert Snyder who celebrate birthdays this week.
