Announcements  July 22/23 2017

L: Come, chosen people, and give thanks to your God!     C: We have been blessed in Christ.  L: In him we have received redemption.  C: We have been blessed in Christ.  L: In him we have an inheritance.   C: We have been blessed in Christ.

*Welcome to worship and a special welcome to guests visiting with us today. We pray you are blessed as we worship together.

*Haven’s Third Annual Block Party and School Supply Giveaway is coming! You do have Saturday, August 19th marked on your calendar, right? Plan to volunteer, enjoy the fun and “reach out with love to our community.”

*There is an error in the bulletin. The next planning meeting for the Block Party and School Supply Giveaway is NOT in August but THIS Saturday, July 29th at 11 am. They usually last an hour. Come see what’s planned. We could sure use some fresh eyes and thoughts.

*It’s time to collect school supplies for our Giveaway. Tags of needed items are on the mobile message board. We had over 100 children come last year. Let’s help our children get equipped for a successful year in school.

*With all the rain, the weedy gardens are worse than ever. Please adopt a garden area and keep it weed free through the fall. Work alone, as a couple, family or other group. Choose the time you work. Do it for the beauty of the earth and glory of God.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*Carol Shull will be having a procedure on Monday. Please keep her in prayer and give her a call at home mid-week or so.

*We wish to thank all who helped to make last weekend’s children and youth events a success and a blessing for all who participated. Our next Summer Sunday School date is August 20th. Families and youth, make plans to attend.

*Best wishes to Mary Fortson, Austin Suchy, Georgetta Kauffman and Adam Tice who celebrate birthdays this week.

A:        Rejoicing in God’s saving grace, we join together:

C:        “to honor God, to reach out with love to our members and the community and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.”  A:   Amen.
