January 27, 2018 Sermon

Announcements ~ January 27, 2019

A: Arise, shine; for your light has come. C:  And the glory of the LORD has risen upon us. (Isaiah 60:1)

God’s peace to all this Epiphany season. A special welcome to all guests visiting with us today. Your presence is truly a light and a blessing.

* There are still some lonely 2019 offering envelopes in the church lobby. Be sure you have your envelopes. Please see if you could deliver any of the remaining envelopes to their owners. Thank you for your help.

*Next weekend 8 Haven youth and four adults will attend YOUTHQUAKE in Pittsburgh. Please keep them in your prayers — that their travel is safe and their retreat is rich with faith-building experiences and loving fellowship.

*If you would like any of the remaining poinsettias, PLEASE take them home TODAY. Those that remain will be heading to the dumpster very soon.

*February newsletters are available in the lobby today.

This week’s concerns and joys:

* Pastor Alessandri is back ! Today we will use Hebron glassware and a ceramic platter   made in the Holy Land for communion.  You are welcome to come look at it on the altar after worship. We’re sure there will be plenty of stories to share in sermons, Bible study and an upcoming Adult Sunday School classes. We give thanks for her safe return.

*Best wishes to Abigail Andrews, Becca Mason and Kathy Pensis who celebrate birthdays last week and Donna Hovermill, Jim Hassinger, and Kristin Andrews who celebrate birthdays this week. Congratulations to Patty and Eric Byers who have a wedding anniversary last Thursday.
(after the announcements)

A: Glory to God in the highest. C: And peace to God’s people on earth.
