Announcements – July 26, 2020

(Drive-up and Outdoors)

A:       I will thank you, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
C:   and glorify your name forevermore.      (Psalm 86:12)

* God’s blessings to all of you and welcome to worship at Haven Lutheran Church.

*As you look at the weather forecast and your weekend plans, remember Haven has three weekend options for worship.
1) One Fridays at 5 p.m. we have our summer, spoken worship service in the church sanctuary.  Everyone will need to wear masks and to sit in designated areas for proper physical distancing.
2) We will continue to offer on-line worship premiering at 9:30 am on Sundays.

And 3) we have a Drive-up and Outdoor worship service on Sunday at 9:30 am here at church, weather permitting.

* Our School Supply Community Project is back on track. We have gotten lists of supplies students will need when working on-line at home. We are in the process of ordering the supplies in hopes to have them ready when students come to pick up their I-pads from school.

If you haven’t already, consider sponsoring a student for $20 or donating any amount towards this community project to benefit our neighborhood elementary and middle school students. Details are in your bulletin. Pray for this effort. Pray also for the school staffs, teachers, students and parents who are facing a challenging new school year.

Pastor Alessandri will be on vacation July 26th through August 4th. If you would need pastoral care, please contact Pastor Lee Brumback of St. Paul’s in Funkstown. His phone number is in today’s bulletin and Friday’s e-message. Next weekend’s worship services will be led by Seminarian Katy Moran, coming all the way from Virginia. There will be no communion offered at any service next weekend.
Please pray for Katy, Pastor Alessandri and her sister to have safe travels.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*Best wishes to Georgie Kauffman, Adam Tice, Pat Manspeaker, and Korben Defriece who celebrate birthdays this week. Blessings to Bill and Lynda Byers who have a wedding anniversary next Saturday.
