Announcements ~ July 4, 2021

A:      It is a good thing to give thanks to the Lord,
C:  to sing praise to your name, O Most High;                               (Psalm 92:1)

*God’s blessings to all this fourth of July weekend. A special welcome to guests visiting with us today and to those here from a variety of places to celebrate the baptism of Georgia Kline. What a blessing to be together in God’s presence to offer our praise.

* We would also like to welcome our guest musician and organist, Judy Miller. Steve Pastena, our staff music director and organist is on a much deserved vacation and will return next Sunday. We thank you, Judy, for being here this morning and helping us to worship our Lord in song.

*Likely you pulled up to the church today and wondered, “Where is the steeple?” Well, some pieces are here and the rest is back in Kentucky for some additional work. Unfortunately, about four inches in the main shaft prevented the steeple legs from being able to touch the roof where they need to be attached. We are hoping the steeple will return in several weeks to be put back on the roof. We will keep you posted.

*This week we begin Harvest for Hunger. Haven gardeners and bakers are asked to bring some of their bounty to church. We then take some of the goodies and leave a freewill offering to support several hunger-fighting efforts. Thanks for your support of the battle against hunger

*Copies of July’s newsletter are available in the church narthex.

*The church office will be closed tomorrow for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*We are happy to report that Haven member, Dick Hess, successfully received his pacemaker last Monday. Please keep Dick in your prayers as he continues his recovery.

*Best wishes to Georgia Kline, Terry Trovinger, Robert Webb and Charlotte Loveless who celebrate birthdays this week. Congratulations to Pat and Dick Manspeaker, Larry and Sharon Hartsock, Jim and Jamie Cannon and Eric and Stephanie Meredith who have wedding anniversaries this week.

 (after the prelude)

A:      Rejoicing in God’s saving grace, we seek our Lord’s wisdom and strength:
C:      “To honor God, to reach out with love to our members
and the community and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
