Announcements ~ March 21, 2021

A:        Return to the Lord, your God, with all your heart.
C:        Return to the LORD who is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
                         (Joel 2: 12, 13)

Sisters and Brothers in Christ, welcome to worship at Haven Lutheran. We gather joyfully knowing the presence of our Lord is steadfast and sure.

*The April newsletter will be available next weekend in the church narthex AND at Haven’s website. Be sure to view a copy and get the correct times for Holy Week and Easter services.

*We conclude our livestream Midweek Lenten worship this Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Enjoy the prayerful peacefulness of Holden Evening Prayer and hear a brief meditation on Living into our Baptismal Promises. There are copies of Holden Evening Prayer available in the narthex and on the parsonage back porch. Take a break and feed your faith each Wednesday of Lent.

*Good News for our roofing project capital campaign. The $5000 matching funds have been matched!! In fact, to date, we have had $17,670 donated toward our $100,000 loan. Thank you to all who have sent in donations. The Capital campaign committee met last week and you will get an invitation to participate in our faith-raising campaign the week after Easter. This is something Haven is good at —-Working together and for the glory of God’s mission.

Next Sunday is Palm and Passion Sunday. We will have palms available here at church and on the back porch of the parsonage for all who would like them. We will also livestream Maundy Thursday and Good Friday worship services. Make plans to participate in Holy Week. You will find Easter to be even more meaningful.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*Best wishes to Brenda Hassinger, Ken Tice, and Charlie Huguenin who celebrate birthdays this week.
