2018 Affirmation of Baptism – Confirmands Statements of Faith

Announcements ~ May 20, 2018
A: This is the day the Lord has made,
C: let us rejoice and be glad in it!

*Blessings to all this Pentecost Sunday. A special welcome to the friends and family of Emily and Morgan who have come for their confirmation day. A warm welcome also to all guests visiting with us today.

*Today, during worship, Emily Butsch and Morgan Haupt will make an affirmation of their baptism after two years of confirmation studies. Today’s coffee fellowship will be in their honor.

*Vacation Bible School is returning to Haven June 25th to 29th!! We will be taking children back to the time of Babylon to witness the faith and courage of Daniel.
Look on page 14 of your bulletin, for all the ways you can help this gospel outreach. So far, we have 16 camper sponsors! Can we reach our goal of 40? There is also a special insert in your bulletin about the need for adults to lead groups of children to activities each evening of VBS. Please prayerful consider this fun and meaningful way to help. God’s Work. Our Hands.

* Do you know a Haven member who is graduating from high school or college this year? Please share that information on your attendance form.

*There are only five more Haven garden plots that need to be adopted this summer! Individuals, a couple, friends, or a family could do it together. You choose your own days and times to do the needed weeding. We need your help to be good stewards of the property gifted to us. Sign up at the SIGN-UP CENTRAL bulletin board. Thank you.

*We still need more people to sign up for tickets to the Totem Pole Playhouse production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on June 3rd. If we sell 30 tickets, the price of tickets is $25 and it is more affordable for our youth to attend. Take a nice Sunday drive to enjoy an entertaining musical. Sign-up at SIGN-UP CENTRAL.

This week’s concerns and joys:
*Vera Hedrick, the mother of Millie Strange, died last week. Please keep Millie and her family in prayer.

*Best wishes to Maggie Manspeaker and Hannah Tice who celebrate birthdays this week.
