Sermon May 29, 2022 (Katy Moran)

Announcements ~ May 29, 2022
A:      This is the day the Lord has made        C:        Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God’s blessings to you this final Sunday of the Easter Season. A special welcome to any guests visiting with us in person or on-line. It is a delight to worship together.

*Today we welcome back Seminarian Katy Moran who will be our preacher today. After receiving an endorsement from her candidacy committee, she will head off for internship this August. Coffee fellowship is in her honor. Come add your good wishes.

*Weather permitting, we will celebrate Pentecost Sunday with an outdoor worship NEXT Sunday! Come celebrate Pentecost, new members and the completion of the Sunday School year. We have a special, playful coffee fellowship planned to continue the celebration. Be sure to come and bring your lawn chair. IF it would rain, we will move the festivities inside.

*The June newsletter is now available on-line, in the narthex and on the parsonage back porch.

*Did you notice all the weeding and mulching done around the church building? We want to thank all who came to help yesterday. It was a mighty crew! There are still some areas that need some care. For the next few Saturday mornings, starting around at 9 am, we will continue to work on maintaining our landscaping and curb appeal. ANY amount of time you can give will be appreciated. If you would rather work on another day, your efforts are welcomed. See bulletin and Doug Wright for further information.

*We will continue the after worship coffee fellowship through June and resume in September. Thanks to everyone for their participation in providing refreshments for the past months. Could you host one of the two remaining weeks in June?

*Our survey showed there was interest in having a Saturday worship option during the summer. So, starting June 11th we will offer a 5:00 pm worship service on Saturday. Though there is no music, the rest of the service is the same as Sunday’s and includes holy communion.

*The church office will be closed tomorrow in observance of Memorial Day.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*Best wishes to Lynda Byers, Scott Rhodes, Pat Pile and Pastor David Kaplan who have birthdays this week.
