Announcements ~ October 4, 2020

A:      Sing to the Lord, bless the name of the Lord;
C:      Sing to the Lord, bless the name of the Lord; (Psalm 96:2)

 *Welcome back to the sanctuary, Haven family, friends and guests. It is good to be here to worship our Lord together. A special welcome to our seminary student, Mia Hoover, who will be with us this school year. We are glad you are here, Mia.

*Today is your last chance to pick up a copy of Becoming A 21st-Century Church here at Haven. There are several copies left in a box on the counter in front of the church office window. Cost: $12. Presentations by the author will continue this Wednesday. Look in your bulletin for more information.

*At communion time, Pastor will give specific instructions on how each section will come forward to receive the sacrament. It will be different from what we have been used to. So we ask you to pay special attention to the instructions and to the ushers so we can safely move around one another as we receive the gift of God’s meal.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*Grant Wills is currently in Meritus Hospital with fluid around his heart and for further testing. Please keep Grant, Valerie and his family in prayer.

*Many thanks to all our Bowling for Kids SPONSORS.   Haven’s Team turned in $560 to benefit the important work of Big Brothers Big Sisters in our community! Way to go, Haven!

To God be the glory.

*We also wish to express our gratitude to the members of the Re-Opening and Worship Teams and the Altar Guild for all their work to help us safely resume Sunday morning worship in our sanctuary. May we express our thanks by following the recommended guidelines for the well-being of one another.

*Best wishes to Don Andrews, Dawn Tice, Aura Harbaugh-Wiles and Kathy Wright who have birthdays this week.  Congratulations to Joan and Ed Schupp who have a wedding anniversary this week.
