* God’s blessing to all this Labor Day weekend and a special welcome to all our guests. What a blessing it is to be together in God’s presence to worship.
*Be sure to take your bulletin home or look at it on-line. Read about the numerous local events that are of interest. The September newsletter is also available in the narthex and on-line. Keep up with learning, service and fun activities.
*This Saturday, September 11, is Haven’s indoors clean-up day starting at 9 a.m. There are a variety of tasks. PLEASE come and lend a hand. If you can, promise a grandchild lunch and bring him or her along to help, too.
*The Adult Sunday School class will begin meeting next Sunday, September 12 in the Gathering Room. The first session will be led by Pastor Kaplan.
*Haven will be providing lunch for Potomac Tower residents this month. Next Sunday, look for a list of what you can contribute to this meal of food, fun and love for our 40 brothers and sisters at Potomac Towers.
*Our vegetable gardens are waning but there are still some offerings on the Harvest for Hunger table in the narthex.
*Have any coins for our noisy offering this first Sunday of the month?
*The church office will be closed tomorrow for the Labor Day holiday.
This week’s concerns and joys:
*Best wishes to Harold Rice, and Dustin Black who have birthdays this week.
