Announcements – May 12, 2019

A: This is the day the Lord has made
C:  Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

*A most blessed and happy Easter season to all. A special welcome to guests visiting with us today and to those here from Georgia, Florida and Virginia to celebrate the baptism of Hudson Potter Pizzini. We hope you are blessed as we worship together.

*Be sure to check off your choices from the list of favorite hymns on the attendance form today. Those with the top votes will be included in our Music Sunday worship next week.

*Ladies Night Out is this Tuesday at Runways Restaurant. All Haven ladies and friends are welcome. Sign-up at Sign-Up Central TODAY so we can make reservations.

*The Haven garden is tilled. Those who expressed an interest will be contacted this week to come “stake out” their portions. Let the planting begin!

*During the final two Sundays of May, Pastor Alessandri will be sharing some experiences and learnings from her January trip to Israel in the adult Sunday School class. She promises pictures, too.

This week’s concerns and joys:

*At last week’s special meeting, the congregation unanimously agreed to expend up to $13,000 for sewer system repairs. Weather permitting, that work will begin and be completed this week. Please be aware that water and restroom services may be discontinued periodically during the week.

* We have three Haven members currently receiving rehab therapy:

Pam O’Connor is at Ravenwood’s Assisted Living Center; Irene Giffin is at Ravenwood Nursing Center and Carol Shull is in Room 132 at Fahrney-Keedy. Calls, cards, prayers and visits would be dearly appreciated.

*Today you will find in your bulletin an insert with an update about Haven’s discussions with Christ Lutheran Church about possible shared ministry. Haven’s representatives, Dick Hess, Amy Mason and Mike Manspeaker will be available after worship for comments and queries.

*Best wishes to Sue Nelson, Barbara Miller, Ethan Rhodes, Morgan Haupt, Bill Plavcan and Emily Butsch who celebrate birthdays this week

A: We prepare for worship as we listen to the prelude. AMEN!
